NICAS projects

Research projects form the basis of NICAS. These projects incorporate the multidisciplinary ideals of NICAS and seek to make a contribution to one or more of the four research challenges. Within NICAS, several types of projects can be distinguished.

Funded full projects

NICAS hosts multi-year research projects that have been conceived from the outset as a NICAS project and that receive full or substantial funding, either through NWO or through other funding bodies. A list of projects can be found here.

Funded seed money projects

NICAS hosts short term projects that investigate the feasibility of tackling certain research questions. These projects receive full or substantial funding, either through NWO or through other funding bodies. A list of projects can be found here.

Collaborative projects

NICAS also collaborates with other partners and institutions on research projects, by contributing financially and/or by giving access to its network or the research facilities of its member and partner institutions. As a rule, the projects fit into the NICAS research agenda and one or more NICAS member institutions participate in these projects. A list of projects can be found here.
