Eight projects will receive funding for collaborations between scientists and museums with the application of data science.
The budget for 2017 edition of the NICAS call for proposals “An Integrated Approach to the Scientific Study and Conservation of Art”, organised by NWO, amounted 1.5 million euros, which is allocated for collaborations between scientists and museums with the application of data science.
An international assessment committee has assessed the proposals and issued an advice to the Board of the NWO Science Domain. They decided to award funding to four research projects running for 4-5 years and to four seed money proposals that aim to investigate the feasibility of a particular research topic.
